Introducing our Creative Director

GANGSTER / NAKED recently gained a new Creative Director. Not just any Creative Director, having designed packaging and furniture for international brands for a decade, Rudi Eriksen gave a new twist to how our new design watches should look. New designs had its roots in old ideas, repackaged in new designs.

Two different styles of watches had to be created, metal watches with interchangeable watch bands and wooden watches, with the idea of giving more back to nature than what is taken. Using wood in creating our NAKED watches and as our newest project Sunglasses, we have decided to take an environmentally conscious approach.

Being inspired by Scandinavian design traditions includes creating simple, functional products that have a strong distinctive look. The aim has been to create something that bears witness to these traditions, and that are also fun to wear.

Having designed products for TrollBeads, Pottery Barn, Target, Pier One and many others Rudi Eriksen has become accustomed to working with professional organizations who require products that would appeal to a larger audience. What has been missing was being able to take a few more chances in the designs offered, and make products that are more fun and inspirational. With our new watch collections we aim to add more fun and color into people’s life and give back to our communities.
